Chester James

Chester came to Bescorp after completing over 20 years with the Boeing Company in Wichita, Kansas. His experience includes a variety of positions within the areas of Human Resources, Engineering, and Materiel. He was involved in continuous improvement activities serving as Site Training Manager, Lean Implementation Manager, and Organizational Development Manager. While at Boeing, he participated in the Shingijutsu Kaizen in Japan and was also a member of the original team to implement Lean in the Boeing Wichita Plant.

Prior to joining Boeing, he worked with small manufacturing companies as a Plant Manager, Production Manager, and Industrial Engineer. He also served in the USAF as an electrical engineer on Ground Radar and as a Titan II Launch Officer. He has an extensive training background in both civilian companies and the military. He has trained for numerous companies including: NCR, Cessna, Pioneer Balloon, Raytheon, Boeing, and Bombardier. He has over 20 years of academic experience with three Universities as an Adjunct Professor teaching management, manufacturing, and lean processes.

He holds an MBA and a Bachelors degree in Industrial Education. He has additional training in both management and engineering. He was certified by APICS as a CPIM in and was recognized as a Jonah by the Goldratt Institute in 2000.
