As a BESCORP Sensei, Mike Brady contributes 30 years of aerospace experience with the Boeing Company in Wichita, KS. His early career there included roles as a tooling machinist, and as an
aircraft assembler. Mike’s management experience includes Tooling Fabrication, CQI, Quality Assurance and 8 years as a Boeing Production Systems Promotion Office project manager.
Mike’s efforts at Boeing contributed to the overall successful transformation of that company’s culture from that of a traditional manufacturer to one that has adopted CQI as its management system. That journey included application of numerous improvement techniques such as quality circles, problem solving methodologies, SPC techniques, SixSigma/Lean Manufacturing and CQI assessment and evaluation.
Mike’s Lean education consists of 8 years of tutorage from consultants of Shingijutsu Ltd., and has participated in two Japan Study Missions hosted by Shingijutsu Ltd. of Japan. He possesses certificates from the University of Tennessee in Lean Manufacturing and from the Alcoa Company in Value Stream Mapping and Analysis. He has participated in lean related activities or has performed assessments at several U.S. companies including Saturn, Pratt Whitney, Mercedes Benz, Delphi Electronics, various Boeing sites across the US and Canada. He has participated in “kaizen” activity at Honeywell, Mogami Denki, Hitachi and others in Japan.
Mike served n the US Air Force as a Staff Sergeant specializing in Inventory Management. Following a tour of duty in South Korea and an honorable discharge, he served as a Sergeant in the Kansas Army National Guard specializing in Ground Surveillance Radar
Mike holds a Master of Science in Total Quality Management and a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration. Mike is a Certified Quality Manager (ASQ) and a Certified Production Inventory Manager (APICS).
