Our Mission is to help you improve operating performance, customer service and develop a self-sufficient Lean culture faster and with less risk than you could achieve on your own or with one of our competitors. Our proven hands-on approach is called The Fast Lean System™ of implementation.
The Fast Lean System™ of implementation begins with an Enterprise Planning Session to define your vision of success, conduct an environmental scan, establish strategic improvement goals and objectives, and select the Value Streams to engage with improvement activities.
A deployment plan customized to the unique conditions of your business is developed to achieve the maximum impact with the least amount of resources via our Lean Deployment Model™ (LDM). The model takes the guess work out of how much you need to do to impact the operating performance of your business. It calculates the quantity of improvement activities to be chartered on an annual basis, how much internal infrastructure is necessary, how much Sensei help is needed, and the net return-on-investment you can expect to achieve as a result of your efforts. Exit Criteria for our Sensei are defined up front and built into the LDM which projects diminishing levels Sensei support as you're internal expertise grows. So, you’re paying for less and less of our services each year as the self-sufficient Lean culture grows.
From the outset, all tactical improvement activities are aligned with the strategic improvement goals and objectives of the business. For each selected Value Stream a Rapid Improvement Plan consisting of multi-team Rapid Improvement Events, Projects, and Just Do Its are developed through a robust, ten-step Value Stream Analysis process. Internal practitioners are taught a rigorous and disciplined seven week improvement cycle to prepare for, conduct, and follow-up on Improvement Events. Our Sensei guide the application of the tools and provide the mentoring necessary to ensure your success.
The deployment effort is kept on track through periodic Lean Benchmark Assessments. The Assessment is a seven point comprehensive gap analysis against industry recognized best-practices. It's purpose is to help you avoid common implementation mistakes and accelerate progress toward improved operating performance and self-sufficiency. The Assessment is aligned with the Shingo Prize for Excellence and applied by our Master Sensei who are among the most experienced in the industry. They understand the cultural, organizational, and change dynamics issues encountered during the Lean Transformation and have helped some of the largest and most complex organizations in the world create sustainable bottom line results.
Finally, we ensure your Lean Practitioners will be qualified to displace our Sensei at the point in time projected by the Lean Deployment Model via a hands-on Lean Qualification Process. It is aligned with the body of knowledge and requirements of the National Lean Certification process developed by the AME, SME, and Shingo Prize organizations. This added value is provided to our clients at no additional cost as a part of The Fast Lean System™.
